After meeting Maire-Kate for a drink along with photographer David Bradford, we knew the day her and Shane were organising was going to be a great one. Not only was it taking place at one of Essex's finest venues, Gosfield Hall, a venue which lends itself so well to our cinematic style of wedding videography, it was also a day filled with surprises.
Their video starts with one of these surprises, organised by Maire-Kate - a trio of singing waiters who performed for guests during the wedding breakfast. It went down really well, as you can tell from the snippet included in the film. Maire-Kate also organised a wedding car for Shane and her two boys. We took the opportunity to take a quick drive in the car to use as an opening shot of the venue and it worked really well.
As well as other great surprises, like the Ali-G impersonator who makes an appearance towards the end of the film, Maire-Kate and Shane's day was filled with many emotional moments, particularly during Shane and Maire-Kate's stepfather's speeches, which both provided a great narrative for the film.
We don't stage manage any of our shots, all of the emotion on show in our wedding videography is authentic, so it is always great to attend a day filled with so many special moments that we can document and help preserve for years to come.
Congratulations to Maire-Kate and Shane, as well as their little boy, whose birthday took place on the wedding day- all the best for the future from HandCraft Pictures!
