A Gosfield Hall Wedding

Patrick and Cat are good friends of some previous clients, whose wedding a few years back was filled with love and laughter, so I knew this day would be no different.  They had also chosen one of my favourite Essex venues (Gosfield Hall) and the ever talented David Michael Photography as their photographer, so things were already looking positive, and that was before seeing the beautiful outside ceremony set up, and the forecast for the day (sunshine!).

The bridal suite at Gosfield Hall is grand and stunning, with plenty of space to take some great footage.  The added benefit of the preparations taking place at the ceremony venue, is that it also gives us plenty of time to get creative!

Cat's father had been taken seriously ill leading up to the wedding, so it was a very touching moment to see him arrive to see his daughter, in her wedding dress, for the first time before the ceremony.

Cat and Patrick were happy to take a short walk around the grounds at Gosfield Hall after the ceremony, which gave David and I the opportunity to take some lovely natural shots of them enjoying the venue.  Patrick also had some touching, and funny, words about his and Cat's relationship, which worked as a great voiceover here.

The inner courtyard at Gosfield Hall is a perfect location for afternoon drinks, especially on such a bright day.

The weather kept on giving later in the day, allowing the photographer and I an opportunity to take some final couple shots with Patrick and Cat at the best possible time of day: sunset, when the light is soft and warm, and what better place than in the cornfield behind Gosfield Hall.  These shots made for a perfect ending to the film, as the first day of the happy couples new life together comes to a close…
