It’s a pretty obvious thing to say, but what better city is there to shoot an elopement video in than Paris, the captial of romance! I loved shooting this film, from the time I had in advance to take some beauty shots of the city (the misty morning shot of the Eiffel Tower was a particular favourite!) through to the ceremony shots and our walk around the city. But the real highlight of the day was our spur of the moment request to take a private ride on the carousel near the Eiffel Tower- capturing shots of Olga and Stuart taking a ride together (though it made me feel pretty dizzy!) was a great moment I won’t forget in a hurry.
I chose a classic piece of French music for the film (Clair de Lune by Debussy) as I felt it truly fit the story- this combined with a beautiful piece of French poetry complimented the images I captured on the perfectly.
I love shooting destination wedding films, as I love to explore new countries and cities with my camera in hand, capturing the essence of the place. When I’m not filming weddings I’m documenting, through photos and film, my travels- so destination work is perfect for me.
This enthusiam for exploring new places and a love of capturing couples stories makes me confident I choose the right job!
